The third phase of Tianjin Port North Port Container Terminal Project is located in Dongjiang Port Area of Tianjin Port. The total length of the wharf is 2300 meters, with six 100000 tonnage container dedicated berths and an annual design throughput of 4 million TEUs, which can meet the loading and unloading requirements of the fifth and sixth generation containers. It is the largest steel pile structure wharf project in the world at present.


The wharf is of steel pipe pile and prestressed concrete beam and slab structure, with a total of 38 structural sections and 1456 pieces Φ 1200mm and 1708 pieces Φ 1000mm steel pile. The material of steel pipe pile is Q345B. The control of the system adopts the combination of automatic control and manual control, and is equipped with remote sensing and remote control function and visualization software system, so that the corrosion prevention work has leaped from the extensive management in the past to the advanced management mode of visualization, digitalization, remote control and specialization. It provides the owner with professional anti-corrosion control form. The design protection period of the project is 50 years.

Focus:

● The wharf project is the world's largest single wharf project, one of the national key projects, and also the world's largest impressed current cathodic protection project for steel pipe piles

● The project also meets the requirements of JTJ230-89 Technical Regulations for Corrosion Protection of Steel Structures in Harbour Engineering and British Code (BS)

● The survey, design, equipment selection and procurement, construction management and later technical services of the whole project are all carried out by Dongfang Construction (Tianjin) Anti-corrosion Engineering Co., Ltd

● All 464 anodes of the system are titanium based composite metal oxide coated anodes from Dinola, Italy, and the reference electrode is ag/agcl reference electrode from Silver, UK

● The combination of automatic control and manual control, remote sensing and remote control provides the owner with a professional and advanced anti-corrosion control management system for steel pipe piles. To enable the terminal manager to understand the protected condition of the steel pipe pile of the terminal in real time and deal with the specific situation
